This policy outlines the guidelines for the use of equipment, including hardware and software, by employees of our software company.
Company Equipment
All equipment issued by the company to employees, including but not limited to computers, laptops, smartphones, and tablets, remain the property of the company. Employees are responsible for the proper care, security, and maintenance of the equipment. Any loss, damage, or theft of company equipment must be reported to the IT department immediately.
Personal Equipment
Employees are not permitted to connect any personal equipment or devices to the company’s network or systems without prior approval from the IT department. Any equipment or devices that are deemed unsafe or that may compromise the security or integrity of the company’s systems or data may be disconnected without notice.
Software Licensing
Employees must not download or install any unauthorized or unapproved software on company equipment.
Security
Employees must take appropriate steps to ensure the security of all company equipment, including using strong passwords, locking their computers when away from their desks, and not sharing their login credentials with others. Employees should also report any security breaches or concerns to the IT department immediately.
Data Backup
Employees are responsible for backing up any important data stored on their computers or other company equipment. The company provides backup solutions for all company data, but employees should take their own backups to ensure that their personal data is protected in case of a system failure or data loss.
Violations
Violations of this equipment policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. The company reserves the right to monitor all equipment usage, including internet and email activity, to ensure compliance with this policy.
By following this equipment policy, we can ensure the proper use and maintenance of company equipment, protect our systems and data from security breaches, and provide a safe and secure working environment for our employees.
Requirement of New Equipment
If you require any type of equipment, you can submit a request using the asset request Via Mail with purpose-specific information.
Upgrades
Your equipment is upgraded every 3 years. In between if you want to upgrade then you can raise request via mail only.
Equipment Breaks
We understand that hardware failure happens, you can notify to asset management department by raising concern through Mail only.
Leaving the Company
Upon leaving the company, you must return any assets assigned to you in order to fulfil your responsibilities. On the final day, you can contact the asset management department and hand over all assets in the evening before waving goodbye.
